Group assembled in the gardens of The Croft, possibly connected to a Methodist church do. The elderly lady pictured centre of the 2nd row from the front is the resident of the house, Mrs. Vernon. The reverend gentlemen back row right is the Spondon Methodist minister. This image has been shared by Allan McGibben whose mother Nellie Dolman as a young girl is sat 2nd right on the front row.
