Spondon Carnival 1977

Programme for the Spondon Carnival held on Saturday 4th June 1977 from the Society's archive collection. It was opened by Bill Roach (Ken Barlow of TV soap Coronation Street fame). The parade departed the Angler Arms and proceeded up to the Carnival Ground on Gravel Pit Lane for a full days of entertainment (see below). Decorated floats and fancy dress had been judged before the parade left The Anglers. Carnival Director was Terry Wood.
