Wedding Carriages from Dedman's livery stable outside 9 Sitwell Street circa 1900. Lead carriage driver Richard James Dedman (builder of 9 & 11 Sitwell St.), second carriage, John Leonard Dedman (son).
Before the Great War (1914-1918) the family had a horse and carriage hire business dealing with weddings, funerals and general ‘taxi’ services. At the outbreak of the war, the horses were taken by the Ministry for war duties and the family then went into farming.
