Spondon Caravans on Nottingham Road after they extended into the old Spondon Garage but now having a closing down sale. Raj's 'Happy Shopper' convenience store can be seen to the right on the corner of Station Road, and left can be seen the sign for Lloyds TSB bank which is just out of shot. All this row of buildings and the bank were demolished soon after this photograph was taken. By the start of 2002 residential development was actively underway.
