At the reception held in Spondon to welcome him and his fellow officers and men after the return from internment in a Japanese POW Camp. Colonel Lilly lived in Dale Road.

Back in the early fifties my…
Back in the early fifties my family lived next door to Colonel Lilley on Dale Road. I was about twelve years old when we moved away from Spondon. Colonel Lilley took a lot of interest in my elder brother, myself and our two younger sisters. To cut the storey short, going through some old photos of my parents I came across a studio photo of the colonel he'd given to them. i was wondering if you would like a copy for your records/archives
