I was in the Spondon Girl
I was in the Spondon Girl Guides and remember Miss Nichols very well. A kindly but quite stern lady. The Guide Leader at the time was Mrs Joy Wright who had 2 daughters in the pack. Celia and Julia. I was patrol leader of the Rose Patrol. My sister Shirley had held this post previously. I am now 77 years old living in Essex but have very fond memories of my childhood in Spondon.
